WTF FACT: The largest living organism on Earth

The largest living organism on Earth is a massive fungus (Armillaria ostoyae) in Oregon that covers over 2,200 acres (965 hectares) of land.

Put another way, this humongous fungus would encompass 1,665 football fields, or nearly four square miles (10 square kilometers) of turf.

It's estimated to be around 8,000 years old and weighs over 600 tons!
